What you can back.
Speakeater is a one-person team. The Kickstarter exists to pay for cocktail rights, recipe ingest, and the months of work behind the first ten Mystery Nights and 50 Party Menus. Backers get the same prices that go live after launch — the campaign is a head start for the project, not a discount play for you. The higher tiers are where the actual one-of-one perks live.
You'll get the launch note the day we open. That's it.

Back on KickstarterCommon questions
Why is there no forever-locked subscription price?
Pro is $5 a month or $45 a year — already at the floor of what's reasonable for the cooking app. Locking a discount below that doesn't make sense and would just push the price up later for everyone else. The pre-buy tiers for Mystery Nights and Party Menus are where the Kickstarter value sits.
Do I need Pro to play Mystery Nights or use Party Menus?
No. Mystery Nights are pay-per-game ($9 each, one-time). Party Menus are pay-per-menu ($5 each, one-time). Pro is the cooking app only — unlimited swipes, 60 fridge scans a month, TikTok/YouTube import. Three separate products, three separate ways to pay.
Will Mystery Night and Party Menu prices stay at $9 / $5 after launch?
Yes. Kickstarter pricing is the same as retail pricing. The Kickstarter buys you a head start, not a discount.
What if the Kickstarter doesn't fund?
You're not charged. Speakeater ships either way — the cooking app launches on Android June 10, 2026, with or without the campaign. The Kickstarter is what determines how fast Mystery Nights and Party Menus arrive after that.
